AI Insurance Quote

B2C, direct to customer  Individuals and businesses buy insurance online

A price from one sentence, not five pages. An AI-first way to buy auto, home, life and business insurance, where the application fills itself and the customer stays in control.

The problem

Buying insurance online means about 24 fields over five pages, including license and SSN, before any price. Commercial renewals are seven-page forms of mostly unchanged answers. And in 2026 insurers started quoting inside AI assistants, where a form can’t follow.

The approach

The quote comes first and the form fills itself. One sentence in; the AI fills the application, asks only what changes the price, and explains the quote. Identity and payment come last, and the customer decides. For renewals, last year’s answers carry over and a broker reviews the changes.

The centerpiece screen

The application fills itself

From one sentence the AI fills 15 fields and asks just two questions. Beside the chat, the carrier’s five-page application fills in live, each answer labeled with where it came from.

The AI has understood location, vehicle and use from one sentence and asks how old the main driver is, while the auto application on the right fills itself with labeled answers

Outcomes, business impact & learnings

What came out of it

Outcomes

What I delivered

  • 10 screens and a prototype for auto, home, life, business and a healthcare renewal.
  • Every answer labeled by source, editable, with the full form one click away.

Business impact

Modeled, not measured

  • 24 fields become 2–3 questions before a price.
  • A 64-answer renewal becomes 6 checks, with a broker reviewing flagged changes.

Learnings

What I took from it

  • The form moves behind the conversation; it doesn’t disappear.
  • Value first, identity later: sensitive data only at purchase.

Where this stands

A concept with a clickable prototype, not tested with customers. Simple rules stand in for the AI and carrier pricing, and all carriers, prices and organizations are sample data.
